Volunteer Action Center
As a part of the Division of Student Affairs, the Center for Community Engagement upholds the Division’s mission of “Strengthening Students for Success” through experiential learning opportunities designed to challenge students and support the growth of skills and understanding.
The Volunteer Action Center and other programs within the Center for Community Engagement provide multi-level leadership experiences that encourage students to address complex social issues through service based solutions.
Through one-to-one advising, team meetings, and partnership building, students dig deep to discover root causes then design and adapt programs to meet the varied, ever-changing needs of community agencies and individuals. Student leaders develop essential skills such as problem solving, project management, and working collaboratively while creating a measurable impact in the Northwest Arkansas community and the lives of those we serve.
“Empowering students to become engaged citizens through service, experiential learning, and practicing social value. Our vision is to foster collaborative experiences with students and the community through service to create sustainable solutions and develop tomorrow’s leaders”.
